I'm thrilled to have been invited to enter the Square Foot Show by amazing watercolour painter Andrea England. The theme is Autumn. Growing up in Southern Ontario my Fall memories include the prevalent bright reds, oranges and yellows, and bringing my whole kindergarten class home to jump in the leaves of our great big backyard tree. While I miss those brilliant reds, the Fall colours here in Vancouver are no less spectacular. Driving up to Whistler on a crisp Fall weekend from Vancouver, you will find a gorgeous array of yellows and oranges set against a beautiful mountain backdrop and the aqua tinted waters of Howe Sound or Green Lake. My four pieces for the Square Foot Show are all flashes of Fall splendor, slivers of ever changing perfect views. Shown below are two of my entries: Now You See It and Now You Don't.
The Square Foot Show in Autumn features one-of-a-kind original 12″x 12″ paintings around the theme of Autumn, created by 52 artists from across North America. Each piece is the same price ($300) and will be available through the Square Foot Show website when the show begins. There’s a reason, after all, that Square Foot Show has become known as the “Black Friday of Art!” I'll be sharing the link here and directly with my subscribers list prior to the show going live. I've seen pieces fly out the door in this sale, so if you see something you like, it's best to jump right on it when it opens on Thursday October 6th (closing Oct 8th).
